Peak Planner Instructions & Feature Guide NH48 Guide

Quick start

The planner loads all 48 peaks with a balanced default order. Use drag handles to reorder peaks, create group blocks for day plans, and keep your sequence realistic before exporting.

Drag and reorder

Use the vertical drag handle on each banner to move a peak. You can drag between the root list and any group. While search or filters are active, reordering is intentionally locked to avoid accidental hidden moves.

Grouping and hierarchy

Select peaks with the row checkbox, then use Group selected. Groups now support collapse/expand for faster scanning, and grouped peaks show connector lines so day-trip structure is easier to read.

Templates and filters

Templates provide fast layouts for common finish strategies. Filters and search help focus on risk, range, and route metrics without removing underlying data. Clear filters when you are ready to drag again.

Save, export, and caveats

Itinerary changes auto-save in your browser, and Export downloads a portable JSON snapshot. Distances, gain, and time are planning estimates; always verify route conditions and official trail guidance before hiking.

Use this interactive planner to organize your NH48 hiking journey. The full list loads automatically and starts grouped by difficulty, so easier hikes like Tecumseh and Pierce rise to the top while the most demanding peaks sit at the end. Drag peaks to reorder, group day-trip classics from the filters, and use the highlighting controls to spot risks and route traits without hiding anything. All data comes from the live NH48 manifest; confirm conditions and routes with official sources.
