NH48 hybrid planning view

Current Conditions

Scan every NH48 summit on one large live map, compare the weather layers that matter most, and keep the side panel locked to the peak you are reviewing.

Planning aid, not a go decision

Live overlays, radar, and alerts help you spot patterns before a hike, but they do not replace the Higher Summits Forecast, trail observations, or your own field judgment.

If the current-conditions advisory feed carries an active notice, it will replace this static warning above the map. Otherwise this planning reminder stays visible by default.

Layer in the variables that matter today

The page loads with temperature and alerts first. Add wind, precipitation, snow, radar, or snow depth without losing the selected summit panel.

Data sources

NH48 summit markers come from the site’s peak inventory. The live overlays reuse the same Open-Meteo point data, radar tiles, NWS alert polygons, and peak detail weather card APIs already served on NH48.

Limits

This page is for fast planning comparisons. Always verify official forecasts, access notes, field reports, and real conditions before committing to exposed terrain.
