Mount Lafayette is a 5,249-foot (1,600 m) mountain at the northern end of the Franconia Range in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. It lies in Franconia, Grafton County, and is the highest peak outside the Presidential Range. The mountain's upper reaches are in the alpine zone, with only dwarf vegetation due to the harsh climate. Mount Lafayette is known for its spectacular views and is a prominent feature of the popular Franconia Ridge loop hike.
