Mount Madison is a 5,367-foot mountain at the northern end of the Presidential Range in New Hampshire. It is the fifth-highest peak in the state. Mount Madison was named after President James Madison. As the northernmost Presidentials summit, it overlooks the town of Gorham and features the Madison Spring Hut nearby. The summit consists of a cone of talus rocks with sweeping views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
