Mount Monroe is a 5,384-foot mountain in the Presidential Range of the White Mountains. Located just southwest of Mount Washington, it is the fourth-highest 4,000-footer in New Hampshire. The peak is named after James Monroe, the fifth U.S. President. Mount Monroe has a sharp, rocky summit and offers 360-degree views, including a close perspective of the Lakes of the Clouds and the southern Presidential peaks.
